It has been one month since we got married! Our honeymoon was great. We got to
know a lot of interesting things about each other, and the important thing is that I am
not disappointed in a single thing yet. Furthermore, since yesterday we are living
together, it’s more because of the economic reasons and it’s convenient. So, for the
last two and a half weeks we have done …
The place for the couches is completely ready, it has been painted and varnished
I finished working on the fore-peak, and painted and varnished it several times.
Here is Anatoliy, analyzing how to install the seal on the shaft.
When I was done inside, I went to work onto the cockpit. I organized everything in the
lockers, I had cleaned and painted them beforehand.
The deck was polished just like the hull.
Cockpit. Everything is in the helmsman’s area, so it doesn’t get in the way.
Freed some space for the sonar sensor by removing the old one and a monitor.
Mounting holes were filled with epoxy.
Anatoliy came over again to install the seal. Before we got to work we had something to eat, what God provided us.
And God provided us: kebab, beer, vodka, and salads…
As you know, this is an old marine tradition – to have it strong and for the seal to get hard.
Then we put everything in its place. A full belly helped, in contrast to popular belief.
On the next day we started to put in the couches that were ready.
Only the seats and the back-rests of the right side and the seats of the left
side were ready.
The right side is ready. I picked this pattern. I like it, do you?
Covered it and then varnished the furniture.
Took everything that was unnecessary out of navigator’s area, all the old stuff that won’t
And yesterday, I finally moved in!
Brought in everything that we will need. A little messy, but EVERY single thing
will be used, believe me. And now…
I cooked a special dinner!
Tsilka, my cat, inspected the whole boat and then fell asleep under the tent,
where it was warm. Surprisingly, she was really calm and seemed to like
everything. And that – is a very good sign as you know. Great!
There is much more space now, I am starting to make myself at home.
I set up the dinner table, put the “White Squall” on and celebrated. It’s finished!
Bitik and Vukidish smile at me.
They are my amulet. They accompanied me across Atlantic in 2003 and in 2006. Last year – across the Indian Ocean. Now they are getting ready to a new adventure.
If they smile and Tsilka is happy, then all is well! This is good news!
A bit of a video, to give you an idea…
Thank god, that me and my love are happy together and make each other happy!
